In DSM there is the option to share under various functions, such as SQL Editor Saved Scripts, Connection Profiles, Filters in QWT, and Tuning Jobs. Currently you can have no sharing, or you can share with the public. We would like, in addition, to be able to share with groups and individuals. Sharing with public is a risk we do not want to introduce on some functions. Refer to RFE 116685 for group level request.

Use case: A user sets up and saves a query under Run SQL (see attached). The query is then shared. Now everyone who has access to DSM can access that query.

DBusiness justification: Some options, such as queries accessing sensitive data should not be shared across the entire DSM user base. The capability should exist to share such queries with users on a need to know basis.

I agree this requirement makes sense and I understand the impact to security. We will consider for future enhancement.

    Great enhancement suggestion!
