WEX: Support of indexing EML-files and create corresponding thumbnails in ONE collection

Customer Bischof & Klein is using WEX to index and search fir EML files (Notes Emails). Today, it is mandatory to create 2 collections, one to hold the search index and one to manage thumbnails. this creates a lot of management overhead. For other file types, EX manages index and thumbnails in one collection. The request is, to do the same for EML files.

Could you provide more details why you have to create separate collections for EML files? I may miss something but would like to clarify it.

    Hello Yutaka,

I am the support engineer who worked on this Case. The customer had configure png, jpg, gif and tiff thumbnail generation on the original collection . The addition entries in the stellenttypes.cfg file seemed to cause the eml files to be dropped.

As the customer used the thumbnails to assist in searching their documents they had to create a separate collection for the eml files.

Please let me know if you need any more information on this,
